Excursion to the underground of the colonnade

Under the colonnade floor there is a place for pumping, distribution and thermal regulation of the hot spring water. There are also spaces where the Karlovy Vary souvenirs are “growing” in the spring. A tourist trail has been put into operation in the old part of the spring underground since 2008. The tour starts with a geological model that will introduce you to the foundation of the Hot Spring Colonnade.

Deer Jump viewpoint

Deer Jump is the most famous viewpoint of the city, rising above the center of Karlovy Vary. In 1850, the local councilor of the town wanted to place a statue of a deer here as a reminder of the legend of the town’s founding, when Charles IV. he chased the deer hunting so hard that the cuckold fell directly from the rock to the hot spring.

Swimming in the harsh nature of Kladska is a unique experience. When swimming with clear, reddish-brown water caused by peat at the bottom, unspoiled nature will be your partner. The Kladská pond is surrounded by a nature trail and bathing in it is rather a quick refreshment. Our favorite for swimming is the Myth Pond.

Maria Loreto – Maria Loreto in Starý Hrozňatov ist eine Loreto-Kapelle, deren Erscheinungsbild vom Heiligen Haus in Loreto, Italien, abgeleitet ist. Es wurde zwischen 1664 und 1689 von den Egerer Jesuiten zusammen mit den Kreuzwegstationen erbaut. Es ist nach und nach ein wichtiger Wallfahrtsort geworden.

A remarkable set of Cheb half-timbered farmhouses. An example of the original folk architecture is Rustler’s Farm from 1751 with an exhibition of period agricultural tools and painted furniture in the region. In the former farmhouse there is a stylish cruise restaurant, in the neighborhood breeding horses with a range of Arabian thoroughbreds.

Three crosses

According to a legend, the cross was erected in 1859 by a happy family as thanks for the healing of three sick brothers. They are supposed to resemble Calvary, a pilgrimage procession in the past. There is no procession for them today, because rare plants grow in place, the rarest is the chickweed. In the neighborhood there is an upland meadow, a European rarity and a national natural monument.

Výlet na Šibeniční Vrch

Elbow was, in ancient times, a regional execution city. On top of the castle stands Šibeniční Vrch. There is a torso of a stone building of the former execution site with a circular ground plan of 4.8 m. The gallows is thanks to the natural character of the surroundings very impressive and worth a trip, it is hard to find a place with a similar genius loci. Only the most important thing is missing – the swinging loop.
